Skincare gems

Sometimes there are so many products that can be overlooked because there are just so many to choose from. I’m making this post to introduce a few things I have found or to help you explore something new.

Let’s get started!

Farmacy Coconut Gel hydrating Sheet mask and Green Clean cleansing balm

I came across this brand on Beautylish because when I ordered an item they put a sample in the package by Farmacy.

I got their Green Clean make up meltaway cleansing balm and I really liked it so I ordered the sheet mask above. I bought one for my mum as well. It was so packed with the serum we had to use the both side of the sheets… After the first use we put them in containers (not in the same container!!) and the next day we used it again.

My mum is over 50 so it really showed that she used a moisturiser and it plumped her skin up she really looked younger. I never thought I would say that to her ever but it did work.

I apologise for not having a picture of the sheet mask I completely forgot to document it so, that’s an oopsie on my part, sorry! 😅

Tarte – drink of H2O hydrating boost moisturizer

This is on the pricey side but this product is amazing. It is light weight, minimal scent and it really hydrates my skin after a heavy cleansing “ritual”.

I got my H2O moisturizer in a value pack, because I wasn’t sure if I would like it or hate it with a passion, but I usually buy a set of minis because I like to explore more for my money and it works out cheaper sometimes.

E.l.f Acne fighting spot gel

I love this product because it works quickly, the products I have used before didn’t work this fast as this did. I can just roll it on a spot before going out (on a no makeup day or before a tinted moisturizer) or using it in my routine before bed. It is also sleek so I don’t have to worry about it taking too much space in my bag. Only problem is the fact that it can be a bit drying on the skin so this is why I use it before using any type of moisturizer, and I do recommend doing that way.

Witch hazel

Any brand of Witch Hazel is great for cleaning your skin or wounds. I use it when my dumb ass pops a few spots that should have been left alone…

However it does help in case you mess up your face because you’re a popaholic. It shrinks the spot and the scar if you popped your spot. Sometimes when I get really bad breakouts and the sun is out I put the solution on and let the witch hazel and the sun work their magic.

Before buying any of the products mentioned above I would recommend you to look up the ingredients and/or do a patch test on your neck.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional makeup artist nor a dermatologist. I am not sponsored by any of the brands mentioned I bought and buy products with my own money.

Other indie makeup brands you might have not heard of

In my previous post I was talking about indie brands that deserved more love an attention.

This post is also an extention for expending the list but still keeping it separate without making one post extremely long.

Let’s continue, shall we?

Blackmoon Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand vegan cosmetics brand. It has a dark quirky theme to it which makes me feel like everyday is Halloween (one of my favourite holidays by the way), however they have subtle options if you are not into those quirky shades.

Their highlighters are amazing! They have multiple colours and they have everyday shades as well as crazy shades. They come in a nice black compact btw.

Chaos Makeup is also a cruelty-free and vegan brand and they also have many options of highlighters that you can actually use on your mouth, face and body. (exclusions may apply and check it in their website)

They also have shadows, blends and loose pigments, they used to have lipsticks but I don’t see them anymore unfortunately. 😔

However they have chrome shadows that a super pigmented!

They also have really great prices, however they are based in the U.S., like Blackmoon Cosmetics.

BeedumplingCosmetics is an etsy shop and they do handmade cosmetics. The shop does it’s own research and they also have so many items to choose from!

I personally like the shadows, I have ginger chai and it is such an amazing shadow!

However if you live in the UK you would have to pay for shipping and if your order is above $20 you would have to pay custom fees. This is how it works unfortunately but their products worth the try!

Disclaimer : I am not a professional makeup artist however I recommend products and brands because of what I experienced. I am not sponsored by any of the brands mentioned above.

Sorry I didn’t include the pictures of the products mentioned that I own, unfortunately they are not in a good shape to be taken pictures of. I will update the post when I get the new ones!

Pictures will come soon!

Makeup brands you might have not heard of

As woman, sometimes I do find myself intrigued by some of the products out there, whether it is from a smaller indie brand or a well known company/brand.

Beauty Bar Baby is an indie brand you can find on etsy or visit their official website. This brand is cruelty-free with vegan options. FYI their highlighters are amazing! They also have a range of other products from liquid lipsticks to eyeshadows! Best of all, it is handmade too! However they are based in the U.S. so you might need to pay shipping and customs if you live in the UK! The prices are pretty affordable nonetheless.

To be honest I wish I was sponsored by them.

STYL Cosmetics: is also a cruelty-free brand I found, and their products are also to die for. My personal favourite is the Fluid Fx which is a mixing medium. It also makes any of your loose pigments waterproof. They are a lesser known company but looking at their products I think they do deserve some love.

I’m giving you guys a 10% off* discount code if you’re really interested in trying out some of their products. The code is PanicFanny and just click on this link here: stylcosmetics.com/PanicFanny

*please note that this discount code is available for orders of, $20 and up.

Sugarpill: OK you probably heard of them before or at least saw them on Instagram but this brand also should get a lot of exposure because their eyeshadows and lipsticks are just so unbelievably good, my whole body could scream.

You are new to this brand or haven’t heard of it before but interested in trying it out then here is a quick intro on the brand. Sugarpill is a vegan and cruelty-free brand that creates amazing makeup products and their packaging is also stylish.

I personally own many of their liquid lipsticks and a few of their bullet lipsticks, which I used to hate wearing (bullet lipsticks, I mean) in general but Sugarpill’s lipstick formula made me fall back in love with traditional lipsticks. On top of that they smell yummy. However if you don’t like sweet scented lipsticks, these lipsticks have honeysuckle in them (look at the ingredients on the website) which makes the lipstick smell really sweet and yummy.

As a person who always has been the casually dressed type I still find it odd to be interested in makeup. I bet there are a lot of people out there who feel the same.

Disclaimer: I am not a beauty guru nor a makeup artist I base my thoughts on personal experience about the products and brands mentioned. Please also do a patch test!
